Product Description

You're a core rider. You want as little between you and the experience as you can get. The TORC T50HF is your helmet. Classic, super slim, open face design with retro paint, custom graphics and two built-in hi-fi speakers for listening to tunes while on the road. Compatible with any electronic device containing a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, the T50HF helps add a solid beat to those long road trips. This helmet is DOT approved and comes complete with a removable sun visor and a removable ultra-suede liner that looks and feels like real leather, but wicks moisture and wears like the technical fabric it is.

5Great helmet
By Ricky w
Picked thus helmet up for my daily commute to work and couldn't be happier. I didn't realize that it had speakers built in when I ordered. Bonus!!

3You'll immediately throw the speakers away
By Been there. Bought that.
The provided speakers of about 1-1/2 inches in diameter can not be sufficiently driven with a typical MP3 device. Perhaps by a headphone amp but I won't be trying. That being said, the speakers unplug and are easily removed from the helmet leaving the recessed speaker cut-outs empty. With the large helmet fitting snugly on my head it's kinda' nice to have that empty space directly over my ears rather than having the inside of the helmet pushing against my ear buds. Other observations are: 1.) the logos look OK but are "stickers" not paint 2.) the brow of the face opening seems kinda' low but doesn't impede visibility 3.) the snugness of the helmet serves to cut down wind noise substantially - the edges of the face opening sealing well against the face 4.) the lining is reasonably comfortable 5.) the helmet is shaped in such a way as I have to "stretch it" to get it on my head - but once it's on it's reasonably comfortable 6.) the helmet is not ventilated 7.) while the helmet is plenty comfortable to cruise around in for a day I don't think it's suitable for hours upon hours of touring.
