5tourmaster cortech

Great quality and value. Comfortable over jeans and warm enough that I haven't used the linings even though its been down in the 30's. I can't say enough about how good Tourmaster's products are.

5Best Buy For Your Money
By Douglas A. Cote
I bought my Cortech Venture pants, along with a Cortech Transition jacket, six years ago for use in warmer weather. I already had leathers for cold weather, so these were not purchased to replace them, just to be used as an alternate choice for riding. Right out of the box these pants (and the jacket) out performed my leathers, which are also Cortech. Lighter and more flexible, with better venting (jacket) and with a liner that lets me wear them down to temps in the teens (not that I make a habit of that, mind you). It didn't take long before my leathers took up permanent residence in my closet.

I ride a VTX1800 from March thru most of December (until the first serious snow fall) in New England and these pants, combined with the Transition jacket have served me very well, especially considering the relatively low financial investment. Yes, they can be hot when it's 90+ degrees, but the pavement isn't any more forgiving in warm weather. I was taken out by a car when I was 18 and it nearly cost me my arm (5 inch pin, wire and skin graft). The day that happened it was very hot and while I was already geared up with pants, boots, gloves and helmet, I decided to leave the jacket at home. The head-on collision that followed left me recuperating for 11 months from an elbow that looked like someone hit an ice cube with a hammer (my surgeon's description), so I decided...never again! Since then (I'm 52 now) I wear safety gear whenever I get on my bike, regardless of the temperature. I've participated in several rider safety courses to learn survival techniques from other experienced riders. I love to ride, I ride a lot and I ride fast, so it only makes sense to wear comfortable, quality safety gear, especially in Massachusetts, where cage drivers are more concerned about blabbing on their cell phones than they are about who or what may be around them.

I think highly enough of these products that now that my son is ridin g with me, he wears the latest version of the Venture pants and Transition jacket. I would never hesitate to recommend this product to any rider, newbie or veteran. Tour Master/Cortech make a terrific product. You just can't go wrong.

4Hawaii Scooter Commuter
By Trust but Verify
Fit well: I bought one size larger for overpants and that worked.

Finish/Durability: Seem sturdy and well made, but I've only had them for 1 month.

Features: I can get them on and off over boots. Good venting through long leg zips. Good protectors on knees and hips but none on butt. Ankle fasteners keep them organized around your boots.

Cost Benifit/Overall Impression: I feel better protected with them on and like them a lot so far. They might be too warm for long rides during Hawaii summers (on really hot and humid days)even with the liner out and the vents open, but for short rides they should be all right.
